NOTE: This post was imported from my old WordPress blog (emtr0.wordpress.com) using a transfer/conversion tool (thanks About.com!). Some content may not show properly or make sense. After much consideration, I've decided to switch to Blogger for various reasons. That's not to say I won't change my mind again but I want to give Blogger a shot. Thanks for visiting!
I recently found my SanDisk Cruzer Micro U3 flash drive. When I plugged it in and checked for updates, I found out SanDisk stopped supporting the U3 software and it was discontinued. It didn't take me long to find a much better alternative though. A quick Google search brought me to the PortableApps.com website. This software is awesome and offers so much for the price of nothing (except for donations and contributions). Here's some info from their About page:

We've been making software portable since March 2004. Today, our team stands at nearly 100 developers, translators, application packagers, designers and release testers. Our goal is to centralize the knowledge and development of portable software efforts and build a single, open platform which any software or hardware developer can use.
