Game of Thrones Season 5 Trailer Leaked on YouTube

Some sneaky folks decided to record and leak what appears to be the first trailer for season five of the Game of Thrones HBO series. According to the WSJ, the video above had the best quality but wasn't the only one posted on YouTube. I just started watching this series last year but ended up watching all four seasons because it was so good. I'm definitely looking forward to season five.

Battlefield Hardline is like Counter-Strike on Steroids, Open Beta Starts February 3rd!

EA announced the open beta for Battlefield Hardline yesterday and let me tell you, it looks awesome. I think it was very smart of them to pull away from the overly-used military-style war game and bring it home to the war on the streets. It's different but it works. Hardline sets it up as a sort of "cops and robbers" where you can be a cop or a criminal. Counter-Strike will always have a special place in my FPS heart but Battlefield Hardline is definitely going to give it some competition, at least on my Xbox.

The open beta will allow access to three different maps and modes:
The open beta will let you try out three different multiplayer maps and modes. First off, Hotwire mode brings high-speed chases to the Battlefield, as the criminals attempt to steal a list of marked cars while the cops try to repossess them. Available on two maps in the beta, Downtown and Dust Bowl, success in Hotwire will require excellent teamwork and precision driving.
The desert town of Dust Bowl known for its drug trafficking problems will also be playable on Conquest, the fan favorite Battlefield mode, which takes the battle up to 64 players. Finally, there's the Bank Job map where you'll get to try out Heist mode. The criminals are trying to break into a bank vault, but the cops are doing their best to stop them. Which side of the law will you ride with?

Hardwell Presents Revealed Google Play Mix Free for a Limited Time

Hardwell Presents Revealed Google Play Mix

Besides the usual albums offered for free by the Google Play store, they also randomly offer other free music albums in addition to the "free album of the week". DJ Hardwell has a 42 minute-long mix available in the Hardwell Presents Revealed Google Play Mix album. I haven't had the time to listen to the whole thing but what I was able to listen to sounds great. I definitely recommend checking out this album if you're a fan of Hardwell or generally enjoy this type of music.

Free Google Play Music Album of the Week: Mötley Crüe's Greatest Hits

Mötley Crüe The Greatest Hits

The Google Play music store gives away a free, complete music album every week. This week's giveaway is Mötley Crüe's Greatest Hits, an awesome rock album featuring 23 of their songs. As a fan, I had to mention this giveaway since I know other fans would want to check it out. Enjoy!

Re-Introduction / Why I Switched to Blogger from Wordpress

I know I already have an introduction post from when started this blog but that was posted a very long time ago and while I was still blogging on WordPress. I figured it would be more appropriate to post a new one since I transferred my blog to Blogger and sort of refreshed everything. New blogging platform, new introduction.

I will borrow a bit from the old intro post though. Here's that bit:
My last blog was focused on technology and coding even though I strayed from that focus with some posts. This blog takes a more general approach that isn’t focused on just technology and coding, it’s focused on whatever I want. The name “emTr0″ is a mash-up of my name. It stuck when I started using it as a gamertag for Xbox so now it’s my username for pretty much everything.
Some of my interests which I’ll blog about include gaming, movies, music, technology, coding, web and believe it or not, Android. I say believe it or not because I’m the original/former Founder and Executive Editor of BlackBerryRocks.com. I no longer own the website, though. BlackBerry has fallen below accepted smartphone standards and after doing some research, I decided Android was the next platform for me.
I do realize that BlackBerry has improved the quality of their operating system and devices but since I switched to Android with the Samsung Galaxy S4 (now have an S5), I can't see myself ever going back to BlackBerry. For all you Apple fanboys out there, you might as well not even bother visiting my blog since you probably won't like what I have to say about Apple.

As for switching to Blogger from WordPress, it was a decision I made after some consideration.

I'm Back

I just finished transferring my domain and blog content to Google Domains and Blogger. For various reasons, I decided to give Blogger a shot as my new blogging platform. I'll go into detail as far as what the reasons were in another post at another time.

I know it's been a long time since I posted anything on my blog and I'm not saying it will be a regular, daily thing this time, but it definitely won't be ignored. Come back again soon to see what's new. Thanks!
